Nominating Organizations

  • The following national and regional surgical organizations provide representatives for ABS director positions. When a vacancy occurs, the organization nominates three candidates for the position and the ABS Board of Directors elects one of them by closed ballot for a single six-year term. In addition, there are three directors elected at large through an open nomination process.
